Citizens Bank PLC has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Nagad, the mobile financial service of the Bangladesh Post Office, to make financial services easier, faster and more convenient for the customers. The agreement was signed recently at a ceremony held at the head office of Citizens Bank PLC. In the presence of Mr. Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director of Citizens Bank PLC, and Mr. Syed Himyanuddin Ahmed, Senior Associate Administrator, Nagad, Mr. Md. Abdul Latif, Deputy Managing Director of Citizens Bank PLC, and Mr. Afzal Ahmed, FCA, Chief Financial Officer of Nagad, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Under the agreement, the business partnership between the two institutions will be further expanded. Through Citizens Bank, customers will be able to add money to their Nagad wallets, Nagad will also make it easier for expatriates to send remittances through Citizens Bank to their families in remote areas across the country. At the same time, the partnership will facilitate customer integration and simplify the onboarding process, enabling more people to access digital financial services. This partnership is expected to play an important role in expanding cashless transactions across the country. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Citizens Bank PLC; Mr. Mohammad Saiful Islam, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Abdur Rouf Bhuiyan, Head of Principal Branch; Mr. Mazibur Rahman, Executive Vice President; Mr. Bijoy Chandra Das, Head of SMR; and senior officials from Nagad, including Mr. Probal Ahmed, ACA, Senior Associate Administrator; Mr. Md. Ajharul Haque, Associate Administrator; Mr. Abid Khan, Head of Treasury & Merchant Operations; Mr. Debabratha Kumar Chanda (Palash), Head of Distributor Management & SOC; Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman Dipu, Head of Business Sales; and Mr. Md. Ahsanul Hoque Bashar, Head of Remittance, along with other senior officials from both organizations.
